The Insider Index
The Insider Index is an institutional market intelligence platform. It aggregates publicly disclosed data from Congress trades, hedge fund 13F filings, and index fund N-PORT compositions to surface convergence signals — places where multiple institutional sources align on the same positions. The platform is built for retail investors, analysts, and anyone interested in understanding institutional positioning from legally public data.
What It Is
- A data aggregation platform for institutional market disclosures
- A convergence engine that scores overlap across Congress, hedge fund, and index fund positions
- A tool that normalizes fragmented government and SEC filings into a unified view
- Available as a native iOS app and web platform
What It Is Not
- Not a news outlet or financial media service
- Not a source of rumors, tips, or speculation
- Not a prediction engine or stock recommendation service
- Not financial advice in any form
Data Sources
All data used by The Insider Index comes from public, legally disclosed sources. Congress trade disclosures are sourced from House Clerk and Senate disclosure portals under the STOCK Act. Hedge fund holdings are derived from SEC EDGAR 13F filings. Index fund compositions come from SEC EDGAR N-PORT filings. Market price data is sourced from licensed financial data providers. No proprietary, non-public, or insider information is used.
Legal Context
The Insider Index is an informational platform. It does not provide financial advice, investment recommendations, or trading signals. All data presented is derived from publicly available government and regulatory filings. Users should conduct their own research and consult qualified financial advisors before making investment decisions.

I built this because the data was already public — it just wasn't accessible. One engineer, every layer, from the API to the App Store. San Francisco.
The Insider Index surfaces publicly disclosed institutional data so that everyday investors can see the same signals.
